Gannet pair playing with a feather Hot
Comments (0)

Cape Gannet pairs will often pick up and play with a discarded primary feather as part of their pair-bond strengthening. The feather is tossed up into the air than caught and passed from one bird to another. Chicks on the nest will also pick up feathers and toss them into the air as if they were preparing to swallow a fish
