Goegap Nature Reserve

Within close driving distance from Cape Town, Goegap Nature Reserve is best known for its diversity of spring flowers. These are not the full floral carpets of Namaqualand but the diversity is far more impressive being set against rolling landscapes with large numbers of quiver trees also being present.

The endemic Dassie Rats with their large bushy tails are also a must see and are best viewed amongst the succulent gardens near the reception area. Gemsbok and Springbok are also plentiful together with Bat-Eared Foxes and there is also a good diversity of birds.
